SOYATHIN POWDER
Soyathin, a soybean derived lecithin, is a phospholipid compound of fatty acids, glycerine, phosphoric acid and choline. It is an important component of cell membranes in humans, animals and vegetables. Lecithin can be obtained from various vegetable oils - such as soybean, sunflower or rapeseed oil - as well as from eggs. The phospholipid composition varies depending on the lecithin's origin.
Soyathin Powder is a highly concentrated lecithin powder with a light tan or yellow colour. The product is obtained by solvent-extraction from liquid Soya Lecithin. It is de-oiled but consists of natural phospholipids in their original relative proportions. Compared to lecithins from other sources it has a significantly higher level of linolenic acid and lower level of oleic acid.
